Yu Randong was born in Beijing in 2000 and is now based in Boston, Massachusetts. Yu is a sculptor whose work encompasses physical and electronic media, creating images and spaces. He constructs a liminal space between the tangible and the abstract through the combination of three-dimensional work and digital representation. Yu examines the obscurity embedded within constructs, elucidating the uncanonical in the canonical.

Yu received A.B.s in Architecture, Religious Studies, and Visual Art with honors in May of 2022 from Brown University. He is currently pursuing his Masters at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. His works have been exhibited in Shanghai and Beijing, China, and multiple locations in Providence, RI. His solo exhibition, “contextually you,” was on view at the List Art Center in the spring of 2022.
